THE BREWERY

Records show that brewing was first carried out in Quaker Yard in the 18th century.

We are a bit more recent than that, having first started brewing in 2016.

The plant was obtained from a well-known cider and beer making company where it was originally used for recipe development.

For the brewing geeks amongst our readership we are a 3.5 barrel (600 ltrs) ) stainless steel plant which consists of a hot liquor tank, mash tun with sparge arm, kettle and counter-current plate chiller. We currently have 3 x 600 litre stainless steel fermenters, one of which we have temperature-controlled and we aim to install a temperature control system on the others soon
